Bahrain licensed crypto platforms early, and the fraudsters rode that reputation: cloned interfaces, names that echo the licensed. If they reached you in Manama or Riffa, this desk reads the file.
Reporting in Bahrain
File with the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security, and keep the number. Check the platform against the Central Bank of Bahrain's register; Bahrain genuinely licenses crypto venues, and clones of the licensed are a known pattern. Keep transfers from your local bank, the chats, and every transaction hash.
The report documents the crime. It does not freeze coins held at a platform outside Bahrain. That is a separate instrument.
The Swiss instrument
When coins still sit at a custodial exchange, a Swiss interim order, backed by a forensic report tying your hashes to a hosted wallet, can freeze them. A support ticket creates a number. An injunction creates a freeze. A freeze is a lock, not a payment.
Trace, then freeze, then repatriate to a bank account you control. The fee is 12.5 percent, invoiced only after your bank is paid. No recovery, no fee. Never a crypto payment.
The second scam
Whoever calls you after your loss, knowing the amount and offering recovery for upfront fees, is the second scam. Victim lists are sold. Bahrain is small enough that reputation travels fast, and this desk knows it: we publish nothing, we never call first, and we never work through Telegram.
