How the loss usually arrives
In Iraq these networks mostly arrive through Facebook and Telegram groups: a "portfolio manager", a trading platform with a full Arabic interface, or a friendship that turned into investment advice. The organisations behind them work in shifts, with manuals. Being deceived by them is not a disgrace. The only real mistake is paying twice.
Document what you have: transfers, chats, transaction hashes. A report to the Ministry of Interior's cybercrime directorate documents the crime and is useful. It does not freeze coins held at a platform outside Iraq.
What a Swiss file can do
When coins still sit at a custodial exchange a court can reach, a Swiss interim order, backed by a forensic report tying your hashes to a hosted wallet, can ask for a freeze. A support ticket creates a number. An injunction creates a freeze. A freeze is a lock, not a payment.
Three steps: trace the path from your hashes, freeze what remains at a reachable venue, repatriate to a bank account you control. The fee is 12.5 percent, invoiced only after your bank is paid. No recovery, no fee. Never a crypto payment.
Why the public register is everything here

Search the name on the Bern register before you send anything.
