Singapore runs one of the most disciplined anti-scam machines in Asia, and still the job scams and fake platforms get through. If they got through to you, the next steps are procedural, not emotional.
The local machinery, used correctly
File a police report, online or at a Neighbourhood Police Centre. Keep the report number. If the approach came by call or message, note it for ScamShield and check the platform against the MAS Investor Alert List. Singapore's system is genuinely good at documentation, and documentation is what a later civil file eats.
What the system cannot do is freeze coins at an offshore exchange. That requires a court order the venue recognises, plus a forensic report that ties your transaction hashes to a wallet the venue hosts. Two different instruments, both worth having.
The mechanism, without theatre
Trace: from your hashes, cluster the hops until the trail reaches a custodial endpoint or dies at a mixer. Freeze: a Swiss interim order asking that endpoint to hold what it still holds. Repatriate: if funds move, they move to a bank account you control. The fee is 12.5 percent, invoiced only after that bank credit. No recovery, no fee. Nothing is ever invoiced in crypto.
Anyone quoting you a 48-hour return is not waiting on a compliance department. Real files move at the speed of courts and exchanges, which is months.
The second approach
After a loss in Singapore, the follow-up often arrives as a polished "recovery firm" or a "lawyer's office" that already knows the amount. That knowledge is the tell: victim lists are sold. The test is simple. A named lawyer on a public register, a fee that waits for your bank, and a flat refusal of seed phrases, remote access, and crypto payments. This desk passes that test and invites you to run it.
